The Round Rock Public Library and Austin SCORE will be offering a series of free workshops for entrepreneurs and small business owners on Fridays from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., Sept. 20 through Oct. 25. SCORE is a nonprofit dedicated to helping small businesses and entrepreneurs start, develop and maintain their businesses.
These free timely workshops, presented by recognized experts and practitioners, will cover a variety of issues facing small business owners and entrepreneurs including finances, marketing, and strategic planning.
Join us on Friday, Oct. 11 for Protecting Your Intellectual Property, presented by Bill Hulsey. Protecting your intellectual property can mean the difference between success and failure. It can prevent competitors from copying you ideas. Bill addresses essentials of patent law for small and growing businesses and provides practical advice for how to protect the intellectual property of your business. He identifies various types of IP and will help you discover how rights in them arise, the extent of these rights, and the remedies for infringement.
