Georgetown “Road Rage” suspect arrested in Round Rock Sunday

Georgetown Police received multiple 911 calls around 12:30 pm on Sunday about a man displaying a handgun and reportedly firing the gun multiple times along IH-35. The initial calls reported the subject was in southbound lanes of IH-35 on the north side of Georgetown.

Georgetown police notified Round Rock Police that the vehicle, a beige Chrysler 300, was headed southbound on IH-35.

The Round Rock Police were able to stop the vehicle at Rudy’s BBQ in Round Rock and identified the three people in the vehicle. At that time, one person, 38-year-old Raymundo Ferrel-Castaneda of San Antonio was arrested for a Revocation of Parole Warrant and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

There were no reported injuries during the incident or the traffic stop. Georgetown police said the additional charges may be filed once the District Attorney’s office has had time to review the details of the incident.
