At 10:15 am Round Rock Police sent out a notice asking residents in the vicinity of Woodland Lane and Meandering Way to stay indoors while they were searching a suspect who was possibly armed and dangerous. The Cedar Park Police and the U.S. Marshals assisted in the capture of the subject.
At 10:45 am RRPD issued a statement that the subject was in custody and there was no longer any danger to the public. They also stated that no shots were fired and that the sounds that were heard were “Distraction devices” used during the capture of the subject.
Police remained at the scene continuing their investigation and began to leave the area around 1:00 pm. In a statement they thanked the residents for their vigilance and patience which allowed them to safely apprehend the subject and search for possibly another subject.
