Stony Point High School campus will be temporarily closed for on-campus instruction

Parents, students and staff at Stony Point High School were notified today that the campus will be temporarily closed for on-campus instruction, effective immediately, due to the number of positive COVID-19 cases and close contacts.

All Stony Point High School students will continue learning remotely through Monday, Nov. 30. (November 23-27 are student holidays. Students do not need to log in on those days.) The campus will reopen on Tuesday, Dec. 1.  All extracurricular activities are suspended during this time.

Round Rock ISD works closely with both of our local health agencies, Williamson County and Cities Health District (WCCHD) and Austin Public Health (APH) to help guide decisions for our campuses related to COVID-19. The length of time a campus remains closed is based on the recommendation from the health department in an effort to reduce transmission. During school closures, all areas of the campus will be deep cleaned and sanitized using hospital-grade disinfectants before the campus reopens for on-campus instruction.

Families are encouraged to stay connected to the District’s website, Reimagining Education page, Facebook, and Twitter pages for the latest news related to campus operations.
