Raymond Salazar Jr arrested for Capital Murder

Raymond Salazar Jr., 19, was apprehended Tuesday morning, June 1, 2021, in Southeast Houston by the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offender and Fugitive Task Force. He is being booked into Fort Bend County Jail on a charge of Capital Murder, stemming from a September 2020 incident in Round Rock. 

The Round Rock Police thanked the USMS Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, Texas Department of Public Safety, Houston Gang Task Force, and other agencies for assisting with this case.

At approximately 3:40pm Friday, Sept. 25, 2020 Round Rock Police received a report of a male with a stab wound on Rawhide Loop in Round Rock. The victim was transported to the hospital where he would succumb to his injuries. The deceased was later identified as Adam Hilzer, 17, of Round Rock.

The victim’s family had made several appeals to the public via social media and the news media for information regarding Salazar whereabouts in the past months.  Round Rock Police had issued several requests for information as well and warned the public not to confront Salazar if they did come in contact with subject.
