An investigation into a Road Rage incident on March 30th as a result of a minor traffic accident has ended in the arrest of the three people involved. Justin Lee Chambers, 19, Jacob James Chambers, 17 and Esteban Rivera, 22 have all been charged in the incident which started on 1431 and ended in a shoot-out in a neighborhood few blocks away.
Justin Lee Chambers who was driving a Toyota Camry on 1431 hit the rear end of a Volkswagen Passat driven by Esteban Rivera, Jacob James Chambers, the drivers brother was a passenger in the Toyota Camry. The Toyota Camry immediately left the scene without stopping to exchange information. Rivera chased Chambers into a nearby neighborhood where he exchanged gun fire with the men in the Toyota Camry.
According to the reports Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 911 call about a reported shooting around 6:25 p.m. Tuesday, March 30th in the 400 block of Entrada Way off of 1431 outside of Round Rock. The Toyota Camry had fled the scene before the deputies arrived.
When Deputies arrived they found Rivera on the scene with his small children, which were in the Volkswagen with him at the time of the shooting. WCSO then ask the public for help in locating the Toyota Camry and help in identifying the occupants.
Williamson County detectives arrested Rivera on April 15th and charged him with child endangerment.
Williamson County Sheriff’s Office announced that the driver of the Toyota Camry, Justin Lee Chambers, is now in custody at the Williamson County jail and charged with tampering with evidence.
Texas Department of Public Safety arrested Jacob James Chambers, on April 18th outside of Del Rio, Texas. WCSO said Jacob was identified as the brother of Justin and a passenger in the car and is believed to be the shooter. Jacob is charged with deadly conduct and tampering with evidence and is currently in the Val Verde County Jail.
